For people who use notebooks and PCs, especially those that don't have a special sound system like Sound Blaster, Dolby, or something like that, or even if it's already there. (Like all LEVEL51 machines will come with Sound Blaster), but I don't want to go down like me. all the same
The program is called Equalizer APO . It is a program that performs audio processing. Also known as DSP (Digital Signal Processing) using the Windows system. And most importantly, it's free, no need to be bound by anyone :)
To install, we go to SourceForce , download, install, choose which device to enable Equalizer APO on, select the sound card you want to activate, and restart.
After turning on the machine again I started by playing my favorite songs first. For me, I had to find a song that I put on YouTube and didn't get sucked in. So I took a cover song that I like to listen to. It's the Acoustic Mashup of Megan / Jaclyn Davies and her friend. (I don't know what your name is) Oh, paste it for me.
Now it's time to adjust the sound. This is probably the most difficult because Everyone's preferences are different...but they're definitely the same. Almost everyone is a notebook speaker. It is usually a mid-high tone. and the sound it likes to hit each other all over the place
The first step, we will have to launch. The Equalizer APO Configuration Editor first, create a new file, and then add a Filter 15-Band graphic equalizer.
The Graphic EQ is a simple volume equalizer. But the difference from normal Volume rotation is that we choose to rotate Volume, but the different frequency bands are risked separately. By this frequency band, we call it Band. Would like to have a 5 row adjustment like this, it is called 5 Band EQ, but of the Equalizer APO, this can be adjusted more finely, separated into 15 Band or 31 Band, as well as being able to expand the Band itself at all.

Start adjusting! - Put the high pitch first.
First come out and say that I try to play by myself There is no theory to support at all , hehe. But if you want to start adjusting, you need to know the basics briefly first.
in the graph seen You can see that below are numbers written 25 40 63 100 all the way up to 16k , these are the frequency bands that we will adjust, the unit is Hz, for example 25 is 25Hz . The adjustment will not only adjust 25Hz , but will be " Range "if adjust and try to select a 31 Band, you will see that when we adjust 25Hz , it will change to another Band next to it.
On the right side of the graph is the highs. which will be the first area that we will adjust how to adjust it is Drag the number 15 dot and move it up or down. Or you can type the number into the table to the right. It is recommended to try putting 20 into the 16K channel first .
Then save the file as C:\Program Files\EqualizerAPO\config\config.txt . Then try to turn on / off the Graphic EQ alternately by pressing the Power button. Notice that at the end, the singer's voice will be clearer, including the guitar will be heard more clearly.
And notice that the graph below that says Analysis Panel, you will see that at the end, you will see a red area coming up, meaning that the sound in that area will look to accelerate. Makes us hear the sound higher and clearer than other sounds. For me, I feel that this kind of sound is more "clear".
Of course, if you feel Hear too many strange noises (try to speed up more than 20 to hear it), you can reduce it a bit, down to 15 or 10 , if you want the sound to feel clearer, in the 10K channel, you can put some 20 or 15 , for me, in the 10k channel. I put 15 and 16k put 10
and then comes a low voice
Now let's try some low frequencies. Because most notebook speakers do not have a low sound. As for those of you who had hoped for a Sub-Woofer in a notebook, it should be enough to know that it doesn't help much :) Well, if we try to put 40 into the 25Hz channel, you won't hear the difference. what Because it should be beyond the range that our speakers can emit sound.
Try gradually adding 20 to the lower frequencies and higher and higher. and notice that Can you hear the difference? when I start to hear That means that neighborhood is the lowest sound. that the speaker can emit What happens is that the sound will feel stuffy, muffled, uncomfortable because the sound is low. It's not low enough to let us feel it's bass.
For the NXL that I'm using, will feel that the sound is muffled in the 250 channel, and it seems that when we go to accelerate it a lot, the Equalizer APO will cut off the sound. In order not to be too loud until causing Distortion (or the sound system in the NXL itself), if you try to adjust a lot, such as 50, we will not hear anything (try it), but if adjusted properly It's a feeling that I call it "Rich" up.
Try adjusting the game high and low to see that you can feel it. Vocals have changed :D Because in the 250Hz range , this will be the low tones of female singers.
For my NXL, I set the 250 to 15 , while the previous channel ( 160 ) I set it to 0 because it makes the sound softer. And for those who like low-pitched sounds similar to iPad/Huawei M3/M5, try increasing 400 to 20 ~!
At this point, if you try to turn off the Graphic EQ alternately, you will feel that It's a bit more low-pitched. and the highs will become clearer. From the beginning, the sound was dry. will look more dense Do you feel better yet~ :D
And then came the singer's voice~
Now, next, let's deal with the mid-range sound. which is a clap clap with everything As far as I've noticed, it's going to be 630 1k and 1.6k. And it's probably about the speaker as well. how the sound will come out
- As for the 630 range here, on the NXL, if it's upped it will boost the feel of the iPad/Huawei M3/M5 sound, as I like this sound. So it's set to 10
- In the 1k range , if you increase the sound, it will be radio at all. If you reduce the atmosphere and instruments. will be louder than a cry So I just leave it as usual.
- And finally, 1.6k is the high range of many instruments. If you speed it up a bit, like 5 , the sound will look clearer and wider.
Makes the separation of left and right sounds clearer.
Well, now let's build the width. (Understand that he called Sound Stage) more because if we release the same sound Coming out of the two speakers placed close to each other, it has a chance to cancel each other out, just like headphones with noise cancellation use a mic to listen to outside noise. and make a sound opposite of outside noise to remove the sound outside
Therefore, if it is loud and the speakers on both sides can sound fully. We will have to give two sides. The voice came out at the same time~ asked how I knew I had to do this. I'm all messed up by assuming that that the sound is drowning Probably because the sound itself is negative. And then try to do it. Besides, if not, why would they put a Filter Delay in? Really~
The way to do it is that we will add two filters, Select Channel Filter. This one will determine the next filter we will apply to which Channel.
Then press L or R, depending on what you like.
Then we added a Filter Delay and set the time as needed. I understand that the delay time depends on how far apart the speakers are too, so I'm going to have to try one place for the NXL that I'm using. 11ms is my favorite sound.
And in the end, the delay will make the sound less centered. If annoyed, we can bring it back to the middle by using a filter named Preamplification (boost the sound), which when it has passed the Select Channel, it will increase / Volume down, only the left side (Selected) This one must try to adjust as well. How much is the balance for us? because the left ear We can't hear the same as well. For NXL that I use 3.5db, I feel that it's right in the middle.
Finally, the sound is always the same.
After we adjust the Equalizer a lot, it will be found that it is not quite the same. is when there is a lot of bass it will sound But when the sound is very high, it will be loud (as we adjust with it) because we accelerate the sound of certain frequencies too much Equalizer APO cuts the sound out. Otherwise, it will sound like a broken speaker, which the way to make it sound equally loud all the time is that we press the Normalize Response button, it will push the graph to the highest point to a number 0.
Let's say that if I adjust the frequency band that is low, 40 40 is like this, which if you try to turn on the music. will find that the sound will be loud and gradually as I said
When I press Normalize Response, where 40 will become 0 and all the rest will be -40 instead.
But the sound will be softer, because it will become that the sound in other frequencies that we do not accelerate, it becomes lighter instead, will have to use another filter, which is Preamplification (accelerate the sound), which will accelerate the sound in all frequencies as the same thing, or that is, lifting the whole graph back up again but the peak of the graph will not exceed what we set (because we set the peak to 0 in the first place)
